Self-defense?
The report of a commission chaired by a respected South African judge,
Richard Goldstone, arrived at the conclusion that “by launching, in some
cases, attacks against civilians without military objectives” (during the
Israeli military operation in Gaza in December-January) the Israeli armed
forces have committed “acts comparable to war crimes and maybe by
certain aspects to crimes against humanity.” Terrible accusation.
The reasonable revolution
At first it seems that their mutual interests are totally in contradiction:
farmers in wealthy countries want to continue to be funded to produce and export, while those of the poor countries,
left to themselves, are unable to sell their meager productions and
constitute two thirds of the billion people who suffer from hunger today.
A French scandal
In this beautiful country, we talk a lot about solidarity, we pride
ourselves of our “French social model”, but we do not really show solidarity.
One too many loans
Launching Major Projects, to boost growth is a very good idea, and the
president of the Republic was quite right to propose it. But why on earth
talk about a Big Loan to finance them?
